I am new to the world of photography (hobbyist) and my passion is bird photography. I was always working; either at work or doing work around the house and one day I decided I needed an outlet; no more all work and no play. I needed to enjoy the fruits of my labor. Too often, we get so busy in our day to day lives that we just don't take the time to enjoy and appreciate the natural beauty around us and to just relax. So I decided photography would be my outlet. I began by placing bird feeders in my backyard and photographing the birds that visited my backyard. Now I visit any and every natural wildlife refuge I can. When on travel, I take my gear with me to capture photos of birds in other areas of the US. So the hobby has gone to another level
As a kid, I was always fascinated with nature; doing childhood safaris thru the woods, climbing trees, walking in creeks, catching frogs, minnows and crawfish and always watching the nature shows (ex: Mutual of Omaha nature shows), basically, I have always been a “nature boy.” I loved being outdoors; I’d leave the house at sunlight and come home and night. So the fascination of photographing birds and other animals has taken me back to my childhood roots – nature. I enjoy venturing into the various wildlife refuges, woods and parks trying to photograph a new species of bird for my collection; the thrill of capturing “the” shot. It’s so peaceful, calming and relaxing and a sense of freedom from the worldly problems.
So I hope you will get a sort of peaceful, calming and relaxing feeling as you view my photos. Please comment on them; critiques, suggestions or nice shot. I hope you enjoy viewing the photos just as much I enjoyed being out in nature and capturing the moments.
I am constantly updating my site, so please return as there will always be something new, especially as I expand my work.
If you are interesed in any of the photos please email me.
